Rachael Burkinshaw is a Mixed Media Artist and Senior Creative Art Director living and working in Llanymynech, Wales. Much of her work is inspired by the countryside and limestone quarry conservation area that she moves through each day. After working as digital art director for brands such as Johnnie Walker, Lays, Adidas, Hendricks and Mercedes, she turned to a research-based fine art practice to explore new emerging technologies and how we interact with them on an individual and societal level.

She collaborates closely with technologists, scientists and researchers to inform her work.

Burkinshaw studied Art Direction and Creative Advertising at London College of Communication, University of the Arts London from 2011-2014, then freelancing as an Art Director for ten years before completing her education with an MFA in Fine Art:Digital at Central Saint Martins in 2026.
